While I was in the park earlier to photograph some of the beanies (skullcaps) I made (yes, I made even more), I took the time to play with my boy who looked silly in my sunglasses:
(Looks like he's winking with his right eye shut)
I so enjoy the weeping willows at the park and I can see the twigs are all budding with new life:
Gizzy was watching me while I photographed my crocheted beanies. He was really paying attention - my little supervisor! (Actually, that's his look when he's really studying me.)
And here are some of the beanies I crocheted this week. I have a big 10$ Beanie Sale in my Etsy shop right now and my blog followers get an additional 10% Discount.
I made these especially for the Deer Fest, trying to pick colors that guys might like, but I have so much yarn, that I can make just about any color. I make them for children too (for the same price.)
My friend is coming over tomorrow morning to help me set up, because the vendors can check in at 10 am and then the actual Deer Fest starts at 1 pm; so, wish me luck and I'll be posting again after I get back!
=====================================================================
Saturday, March 6th: Just got back from the Deer Fest and sorry to report that I only sold two hats - thankfully of the ones I made last week, or else I would have not sold a thing. It was a very beautiful day, albeit extremely exhausting. It would have been unbearable if my dear, kind neighbor would not have helped me and stayed with me for most of the duration. I may have not made any money, but my neighbor confirmed to me (with her actions) that she is a true friend... and that is priceless! Better luck next time!
Oh, by the way, my Gizzy cried for joy when he saw me after being left alone - well, with the cat - all day ;-)

Love that Grizzly, he is a doll.
I am sorry you did not sell many hats, but don't give up!

Oh Doris, I am so sorry that you sold only 2. The work you do is so lovely. I think the economy is ruining a lot of hopes and dreams. It's ridiculous. I hope you get rested up, and that is good news that your neighbor has turned out to be a good gal.
Gizzy looks adorable!
The camo yarn came out so great! Lots of great items, hmmm... we need to find a way to market your shop up in the north. Especially in Alaska, when I was there, a lot of guys were wearing skullcaps even in the summer!!
