Being Outside

This morning I took Gizzy to Bank's Lake to brush and trim him up a little as I like to do any of the grooming out of doors.

As we walked up the boardwalk, I watched two squirrels horsing around, chasing each other around a tree:

There were lots of dragonflies darting around everywhere;  maybe that's the reason I got away without a single mosquito bite.

I took some random photos of the lake and as I turned around I saw Gizzy watching me ... peek-a-boo!

Here I'm brushing Gizzy and he's obviously enjoying it!

It was a nice, peaceful morning and I'm glad we came out here!

On the way home, I decided to look in on the park.

When I saw this little bug flying, it looked like a lady bug, but now I'm not sure.

It was so pretty and green outside, but very still and I could feel the heat coming on - so after a little more walking (and grooming) we headed home before it got too hot. I'm glad we did this. Gizzy looks handsome and now he's sleeping contentedly...a good time for me to get some crocheting done.

I think Mr. Gizzy knows when he gets his picture taken and will act like the little king that he is, lol!

What beautiful pictures Doris...to bad it is so hot out there for you...and I bet for Giz too with all that hair. Nice he is napping and you can work away.

I just love cypress trees and I'd have to sit out amongst them and soak up their ancient energy.

I quit buying cypress cedar for mulch as they are stripping the trees down where you are for profit...nothing is sacred anymore. It's all about the almighty dollar.

Stay cool Dear One and enjoy your day. Thanks for sharing a beautiful walk with us!

I'm so truly, madly, deeply jealous of your wonderful weather. You have some beautiful and amazing wildlife there. I would love to come for a stroll in the sunshine with you and Gizzy. I'll just have to be content with the pheasant who took up residency in my garden a few months ago.

Gizzy looks like a royal dog perched up there on the table! What a wonderful way to spend the morning. Can't get much better than that. :)
