Roses from Down Under

I'm such a lucky duck! I won a surprise RAK last month from a dear blogging buddy named Vickie of  Vickie's Crafting blog in Australia! Vickie is a very talented quilter and seamstress and let me tell you, this is one beautiful bag. Just look at this craftsmanship.

It's so well-made, I could probably carry a ton of bricks in here - not that I would, it's far too precious! It's lined with pockets inside. I will use it to carry my crochet projects when I'm on the go so that I can do some (legal) hooking in the park, in the doctor's waiting room or anywhere.

Thanks so much, Vickie, for this lovely handmade bag and card. You couldn't have picked a better flower pattern than this. It's perfect! Receiving this surprise gift in the mail this morning really made my day!

Here's Gizzy investigating the package from Australia when I got it out of the mail box this morning...and on the right he's proudly posing with mommy's gifts!

I also found some gardenias growing on the bushes around here yesterday afternoon, so I selfishly took some home to scent my apartment. I can't help it, I just love smelling gardenias and I appreciate their white beauty.

They look and smell heavenly!

Wishing you all a blessed day.

The smell of Gardenias is one of my favorite scents. I wish I had some in my home right now.

What a fantastic bag. That will be really nice to take your projects around in. I love the rose fabric. Very chic!

Mein Sohn hatte heute bundesjugendspiele. Sonst in Sportsachen ja kein Problem aber 4 Stunden in kurzer Hose bei 11 Grad, unmöglich!
Also Bundesjugendspiele in langer Hose und Sweatshirt.
Ich freue mich immer über deine vielen Kommentare. Meisten lache ich immer herzlich drüber. Ich freue mich richtig das du immer auf meinen Blog schaust.
bis Bald

Those roses are so pretty in that pattern.

Gizzy is giving the gardenias a run for their money -- who is sweeter? I think he wins.

How fun to be a winner! I haven't ever won anything, so I keep thinking that my time is coming! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on my shabby lampshades. Love having visitors! Have a wonderful week!

I love the gardenias too. My mom had one and every time I smell them I think of her. Thanks for your discussion on my VTT post. I agree with you about knowing the Bible from Sunday Mass, I was trying to explain to other religions why we do not speak of studying the bible as a lot of denominations do. I did not like all the change of Vatican II, but what do you do? There were some good things that came out of that, although there is much I miss.

Good for you for taking gardenias, cause next time you walk past who knows- the bush might be chopped down and gone! Take advantage while they are there!

That bag does look amazing, I wish I knew how to sew that nicely. I had a couple of custom tote-bags made by a fellow crafter back in Maryland a while ago and I use them for everything! What a great win for you!
