The one on the left has sort of an antiqued look with a butterfly and the one on the right has wild little roses and lilacs. I think they both look very sweet.
Gizzy also got a new Miss Piggy hand puppet to add to his fleet of piggies. He loves to play tug-o-war with his Miss Piggy and they all wear out pretty quickly.
He looks all sweet and innocent now, but once we get going into a full fletched tug-o-war game, he latches on with such a tight grip that I can pick him up off the ground while he just hangs on and growls. He thinks he's a pit pull (Arrrrrr!) No wonder those poor piggies don't last long.
Don't feel bad for Middi, though, she got some treats too, but she's a bit camera shy. Every one of the three photos I took of her came out blurry.
Tomorrow morning I have to go back into town again for another doctor's appointment, this time with a specialist at the Allergy and Asthma Clinic that I got referred to today. Maybe he can figure out why I cough so much and keep getting those weird recurring rashes. I already know it has to do with the climate, because I was told a while back I had RAD (reactive airways disease) and it comes from living in humid climates with lots of allergens. One of my previous doctors told me that Georgia and Louisiana are the two worst states to live for allergies - great!
When I got home, I and one of my neighbors removed a wasp's nest from my front porch with the aid of some insect spray and the garden hose on high stream. I'm very afraid of wasps. They can sting you over and over because, unlike the bee, they don't die after stinging. Last time I got stung by one, I was swollen and sore for two weeks. After we battled the wasp (and her nest) I ran around feeding the animals, my pets and the strays because we were all out of EVERYTHING - and sadly, I realized that I missed the post office (Sorry, Akasa!) and the Pharmacy for my Zyrtec and more antifungal cream that the doc prescribed for me today - right after I got a steroid shot. He also ordered more blood work to be sure nothing "funky" is going on (too late!) Funkiness has already begun!
Now, I'm going to rest up for another round tomorrow. I'm so tired from schlepping groceries. Shopping always wears me out. I'm a rock... I won't move... not for a while anyway!

Not to worry Precious One...I'm just grateful you are getting resolution with your health, and not being stung by wasps! Holy Cow! Do be careful...
Your furbabies are lucky kids...Gizzy looks so darned cute, lol, but dynamite comes in little packages so they say. Ha Ha Ha..I know my Shitzu was a terror at play and sometimes with people too.
You really need to get out shopping more Doris...Family Dollar, Dollar General, The Dollar Tree are all good stores and you can find some great bargains in them. I love you stationary...which reminds me I need to answer your email! Been a busy girl myself...
Okay...enjoy your evening and by the way...I loved your PowWow pics!!! Ours shut down last year...I guess there weren't enough people in attendance. Drats! I love going...to connect with my spiritual side, to eat Fry Bread, and to hit all the vendors as well as Hear the Heartbeat of Mother Earth!
Take care and enjoy your evening!
The stationary very pretty...isn't it nice to receive letters on pretty stationary, treating yourself is a very nice thing to do..and I am sure Gizzy kinda likes it to. I imagine In Georgia
hot and humid..ugh...shleping groceries makes you feel like a rag doll. Rest up my friend and take a load off...gizzy wants to play.
Dollar Tree is great! Lovely buys you got. Hope you are feeling better soon, allergies are miserable. Get some good rest, blessings!
Oh Fun. I love Dollar Tree - when I lived in Pittsburgh, I had one I could walk to.
And I do like writing old fashioned letters. My previous boss always use to say that letter writing was a lost art, and one he liked to practice. I picked up that habit from him.
Blessings
Sandy
We have Dollar Tree stores here in Oklahoma City, also. I buy all my stocking stuffers there and usually find quite a few things I can't do without! I like it better than Dollar General, which in my opinion, is WAY over-priced. Occasionally you find some good bargains, but more often than not, I find that the name brand products are much pricier. Sorry about that little rant! :)
Sorry to hear that you're suffering so much with the allergies, heat and humidity. I think you and I need to pack up and head to Utah to visit Bev and all her snow!!
Love Gizzy and her piggy. The picture of the two of them is adorable!
I don't think we have a dollar tree store here. I am glad Gizzy got his piggy. I hope you feel better soon.
xoxo
I love the Dollar Tree. I save a MINT on cleaning supplies, because I have to mop so often (at least 2 times a day) due to the animal hair. They have such pretty things there, too. Name-brand things, too!!!
I am sorry to hear about this coughing. I hope the dr is a good one and gets to the bottom of this cough and rash!!!
Oh my gosh, I can't believe you were a dollar store virgin. I love that store! I just bought all of Oliver's birthday party supplies there. It would have cost me a fortune, but we got everything for less than thirty dollars! I hope you figure out what is going on and feel better! Gizzy looks cute with his pig. :)
Hope you get a solution at the specialist doctors and start to feel more comfortable. I'm with you with the wasps...nasty little bitey creatures best avoided.
I'm a lot behind on my reading...and tonight playing catch ups. What is with your landlords? Do they have a set against nature! Those lovely gardenias butchered :(
I love your scrubbies and the lovely potholders you've been making.

welcome to dollar tree shopping!! I find way too much stuff there to buy too. Gizzy and her piggy is so cute. I wish you well on your doctor appointments (treat yourself and stop at the dollar tree again after your doctor visit! Enjoy your weekend even if you just stay in for a while.
I love dollar tree for things like gift wrap, too! ANd when we were raising money for leukemia & lymphoma, we bought a ton of Hawaiian leis from a dollar tree. Really some great deals in there!
I'm allergic to wasps too..I'm glad your neighbor removed the nest for you! I love the dollar tree :) you should go more often!
Oh my word, Doris! I was surprised to hear you'd never been to the Dollar Tree! They are VERY popular here, stocked with all kinds of treasures just waiting to be found and purchased!! LOVE the stationery you found! I've got a couple of letters I need to get writing soon too.. I was actually hoping to get at least ONE of them done today! I'm afraid I have a load of dishes crying to get done first though! So I'm just getting a little lunch and blogging in together, before I get to those next! Have a great weekend!.. Oh! and I LOVE that little crocheted Strawberry Sundae hat you made! SO CUTE!!!! ~tina
You don't have to photoshop yourself into the picture. You just have use the picture of the ladies somehow in a crafty thing, like putting it in a picture frame or something and then you take a picture of you holding what you made. Come on and join us!
Hi Doris!
