Unless...

Today I'm reminded once more of Dr. Seuss' book called "The Lorax" (one of my favorites) because of the trees that have been chopped down recently at my apartment complex and at this continued crazy fixation about people wanting to cut down all the trees. What's up with that? Hasn't anyone learned anything?

I guess we deserve what we get in the end...and I'm glad I'll be dead and gone when that happens, because it won't be much longer with these disasters happening all around us, many of them due to mankind.

And we are supposed to be the superior species? I think animals have more sense than people sometimes.

Excuse me for ranting, but I'm in one of those moods - I'm struggling with the heat and my front porch is hotter than hell in the afternoon. I hope my little seedlings survive. It's not been fun out there since my shade trees have been gone, buh, humbug!

Other than that...

good girl! it's good to vent and let it out. They have probably never stopped and enjoyed what the trees give to us -- beauty, shade, oxygen? (co2 or something like that), and just nature!! Let them have it Doris! I'm behind you!!

I think we can all learn a whole lot from the animals... I just came from a blog where someone planted new trees on their property... I am sorry about your shade tree being gone and that here, where it gets so darn hot! Our trees make a huge mess in the backyard, but I am grateful for their shade. I was just looking up through our skylights at them and noticed that it had started raining. I hope you don't have bad storms today... Love, Silke

I remember one of the professors at the University of Arizona and his LONELY battle to get people to plant native trees in Tucson -- he begged, he pleaded, he told how it would help the climate so much -- but do you think anyone listened? NO!

I'd be upset, too. I don't understand why people cut down trees either. When we lived in our last house, the builder cleared all the trees off the lots in our subdivision before building the homes. :( Our house was so hot in the summer. It's a good thing we had A/C.
