This is my boy playing tug-o-war with one of his stuffed critters. I always make him work for it so that he can exert some stored up energy from his marathon naps. You should hear him growl and carry on.
Today I put some Aloe Vera gel (slime) on Gizzy's back. I scraped it off from my plant outside, because his skin is still looking a bit pink and inflamed. He also still coughs periodically, but then so do I. We'll just have to face it that both of us are plagued with allergies now.
I was told when I first moved here by my doctor that Georgia and Louisiana are the two worst states to live in for allergies and that a lot of people have to move away from here - I think I might be one of them because I can't imagine doing this coughing thing for the rest of my life... but, one step at a time! Soon the weather will change and we can get a break for a couple of months. That will be nice to be able to breathe again!
TGIF tomorrow! Soon I'll have something to show you as I have been crocheting up a storm.

Gizzy is so adorable. :)
So sweet! Catching up on your recent posts! Too bad you are plagued with these allergies. That's for sure no fun. Hope it eases up for both of you soon. Have a wonderful week-end!
I can't get mine to engage in tug at all. Dakota used to when she was a young pup but even she gave it up. We could use an energy zapper here tonight as we have rain and the young ones really need a long walk.
Hope all the allergy issues get better soon. "They" say Kansas is really bad for allergies too.
What a cute picture! Can't wait to see your new creation. My allergies run amok in the fall. I've made two trips to the E.R. with anaphlyxis, and now have to carry an epi pen. I'm next to your area for bad allergy places to live. We are down in a valley surrounded by mountains, and all the stuff lands down in the valley and stays. Are you on any meds? Do you know what you are allergic to?
We have allergies here BAD! One dog is allergic to the GRASS!
I hope Gizzy is better soon...:-)

It's true, Doris. One of my ex's had bad problems in Ohio, but when he moved to Louisiana, he was ten times worse. It was much better in Tucson, worse in D.C., better in New Mexico, worse again in San Francisco, but better in the desert in Australia. He's pretty miserable when he goes to Germany, tho. I do think the South has the most miserable allergies of all -- some people cannot live in East Texas (including the A&M area) due to their pets developing horrible allergies.
Poor Gizzy and poor you! I used to have a miniature American Spitz and he had a little problem quite similar to Gizzy's. We used a spray that had tea tree oil in it and it was good since we did not have to touch his skin.
Can't wait to see your latest crochet.
Oh Gizzy is just the cutest dog ever!
You know, Utah's a pretty good place to live. Hint, hint.
Liebe Doris,
Michaela
can't wait to see what you are making. stay in and enjoy your day!!
Oh, what a cutie your boy is here!!! Sorry to hear you're both suffering allergies. My cat, Tuffy, is suffering some skin condition right now too.. A friend of mine, without seeing it, thinks it sounds like eczema. Between internet googling, and speaking with a vet on the phone, it was determined I should try baby oil first. But I'm curious about the aloe.. Is it just soothing??.. Or do you think it might aid in healing too? Have you tried baby oil or not??... I'm thinking for my little guy, I'm going to try to apply some with a dropper, as I don't think he'll let me rub it in. So I have to pick one up at my local pharmacy, hopefully sometime today... Can't wait to see what you're crocheting. I'm working on a shawl, and hope to post it sometime soon. Hope both you and Gizzy are finding some relief and cooler weather soon. It is finally cooling down here, and I surprised myself yesterday, actually reaching for a sweater for the first time in quite a while!!.. So hang in there!.. Have a great weekend! ((hugs)) ~tina
My Shiver used to love a good game of tug of war as a pup. Not so much now as an adult though.
I'm curious to see what it is you're making!
