November morning at Lake Irma

Today, Gizzy and I got up and at 'em very early and started our walk down to the lake when the fog was still lingering on the water. It looked like little ghosts hovering on the surface - little wisps of fog being chased by the beams of the rising sun, all floating off in the same direction.

The Canada goose and her two Muscovy duck friends

Two more couples of ducks coming to get their breakfast!

Sunrays chasing little fog wisps over the water's surface

I looked for pretty fall colors in our neighborhood. Looks like autumn has finally come to the Deep South.

"What about me, ma?"
(You are the prince of my heart Gizzy boy!)

We stayed outside for a good long while and didn't come back home till 11 am, so we really took advantage of this crisp autumn morning, feeding ducks (barking at them in Gizzy's case) talking to people, brushing Gizzy's hair and just being thankful for being alive.

If you're interested in entering my November Giveaway, please do so by Monday, 11/29/10.

Your Gizzy is so cute! Sounds like a lovely morning - way down south. It was a bitter cold morning - way up north! Loved staying indoors!

Oh I so love your photos and seeing where you walk Doris...what a peaceful and serene place to take in Mother Earth.

And Gizzy...you are beautiful too! Now if we can just get your Momma to smile big for the camera my heart would smile big! :)

Loving Blessings Doris and Gizzy!

Gizzy seems to be enjoying himself. He's a cutie!

I used to love to feed the ducks. Haven't done it in a really long time. I used to do it quite regularly a really long time ago just for something to do.

I would like to be entered in your contest.

Hey that Lake Irma is really nice. I bet Gizzy loves it. And the weather being so nice makes a huge difference.

We just got to watch the baby on Skype - he is so cute.

Gizzy is almost as cute as Will!

Lol,
sandie

What awesome pictures. There I am scrolling down looking at the beautiful scenery and then comes up your cute mug, Gizzy. Made me laugh out loud. Aunty Bev was very surprised.

Doris, I don't block everything I do -- only those things that really require them to open up the design like a doily or shawl and sometimes a sweater if I need them to be fudged a bit. Sometimes I will crochet a little looser on one side than the other and I'll need to stretch the one to match (which really has only happened once but I was afraid it wouldn't match if I didn't so I blocked all the pieces to the sizes on the schematic). Anyway, the short answer would have been no. ;-)

What beautiful pictures, but the best one was the last, little Gizzy...he is adorable. Just want to hold him. Your Christmas tree sounds wonderful and so pretty. I like to have the tree on when I'm watching tv, although I end up watching the tree ... I love the white lights. Have a lovely evening. Blessings.
