Give Thanks to the Bees!
This Thanksgiving, take a second to salute the humble honey bees who keep us in constant supply of sweet-tasting honey. These hard-working bees pollinate about 80 percent of our nation’s agricultural crops and travel more than 55,000 miles just to bring one pound of honey to consumers. Now that’shard work!
And, thanks to the honey bees, we’re able to deliver this delicious, honey-centric Thanksgiving menu to you this month. From the turkey to the pecan pie, the bees and their scrumptious honey have it covered! Enjoy this time with your friends and family, and reflect on the role of the honey bees in your favorite holiday dishes.
I subscribe to the National Honey Board and thought those recipes looked fantastic. I wanted to share them with my friends because I will try a couple of those myself. Enjoy and Happy Thanksgiving from the National Honey Board!
IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Some of you have asked me if I sent them an e-mail with nothing in the body except a link - DO NOT OPEN IT! It's not from me and I've been getting them from others in my address book as well. It must be some kind of virus!
PLEASE be assured that if I send you an e-mail it will always have a personal message (so you know it's me) and if I send you a link, I will always tell you what it is and assure you that it's safe to open because I try to be a very careful computer user!
Now, go on and read those yummy recipes and enjoy your weekend :-)

All those recipes sound so yummy, thank you for sharing them with us.
This all looks so good Doris..Honey is reported to help with arthritis...all kinds of good stuff out there for us..natural stuff that God put here..why do we use so much chemicals.? Did you email me? I received an email from you, with a link. You didn't say anything and I am leary to open it.It isn't like you to put a note in or something.I know another lady who blogs, somehow captured a virus which was sending out email
with the virus attached. I responded to her email, and come to find out she didn't send it..thats why I'm asking.Have a happy weekend.
This all looks so good! I'm going to print this and try the recipes!!

I think this is just the inspiration that I need for Thanksgiving. I have not been the "turkey cooker" for several years now and the honey turkey is just what we should have this year, I've suddenly decided! I'm not a great fan of dry turkey meat and will take this one on with pleasure. :)
Great recipes. I just love honey. When I worked at a design studio, we had a hive out back and I learned so much about the bees and the honey was raw and wonderful. I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving and thanks again for sharing these yummy sounding recipes. The Olde Bagg
Doris,

As well, thanks for the heads up on the email stuff...we don't need nasty viruses!
Have a splendid weekend Dear Heart! You too Gizzy! xoxo
Thank Doris, I didn't think you sent it..it was very generic with no subject and no persoanl touch, which I didn't think was you, I did delete. These are floating around, caution is needed when opening up any email.Have a wonderful weekend.
All looking so yummy! Gosh, I hope I will be O.K. after going to that stupid link! Did you know that they are now making bandage dressings completly from a certain type of honey? They are using them on burn patients and such and getting wonderful results!
Some of those recipes really look delicious!
I've had peoople hack into my email before too. I changed my password so it doesn't happen again.
Not sure if my comment went through so I just have to type another one just in case because these recipes look amazing. Thank you for sharing these, I will be looking to try them.

Wow, this looks like a fantastic meal! I'm definitely thankful for the honeybees! I LOVE honey on my morning toast. Honey is finally being recognized for the things the ancients have known - its medicinal values!! Just don't give honey to infants, especially the unpasteurized kind.
I also got that e-mail from you, checked out what they were selling, and knew it wasn't from you. Didn't get a virus - so far no issues - but I do have a Mac and it's good that way.
Have a great week!
I think I emailed you and told you that I got one of those spam emails from your address. Grr. People have way too much time on their hands! Your recipes look soooo good! I've been missing you sweetie. Hope you are doing well ♥ *hugs*
