Chomp, chomp, Mr. Turtle!

Today when I took Gizzy outside, I saw Mr. Turtle at the side of the road munching on some grass. I don't know what kind of a turtle it is, but I have seen him before. My concern is that someone might run over him, either accidentally or on purpose. I enjoy seeing wildlife and simply can't understand why some people just want to kill everything! I found a teeny tiny turtle the other day and took it down to the lake in the evening when I took Gizzy for his walk. I dropped him off in a grassy area near the lake, so that he could decide where he wanted to be. I know it could swim because I had it in a bowl with water before it was time to take Gizzy walking. You might say he was in a holding tank for a while - poor baby! He was so cute! It looked like it wanted to rain all day, but it never did. I saw some more butterflies and could not resist taking photos. One of my neighbors has these really attractive little peppers in her flower bed. They are the most decorative looking plants. I don't dare touch them, because in my experience, the tiny peppers are some of the hottest. Another butterfly picture. Pretty soon it will be too cold for them, so I enjoy them while I can. I hope you all had a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend.

Hi Doris!
Thanks for dropping by. I showed my girls the photos of Gizzy on Sunday when they were here for Father's Day and they thought he was soooo cute. My grandaughter thought he looked like a koala, just as you said. We had a giggle at the photo where he is all groomed and you could just see his little feet peeking from the bottom of this big ball of fluff. Do you have to groom him every day? We only have to groom our Woody once a week.
BTW I love all your photos of the butterflies and your friends Chilli plant...hubby's favourite food additive! LOL! Yep he puts chilli on everything except his breakfast.
Well better move my butt, lots to do this afternoon and it's nearly over.
Warmest hugs,
Sandi
