Here are some flowers and blossoms I saw on our walk:
The above photos are of the Japanese Magnolia (not Tulip Tree) that bloom every spring and later fill in with their leaves; whereas the Tulip Tree blooms with their leaves on and in another color, generally yellow. We do not have them in this area, at least I have not seen any.
Everything's popping open - I sure hope we won't have another cold front coming in...not for me, because I'd like it, but I don't want the flowers to shrivel up and die.
Gizzy pulling "duck duty" (LOL) keeping them in the water and out of the street!
(what have we here?)
I sneaked up on this turtle as quietly and gingerly as my body would allow, but just one step further and he hopped off his perch and plunged into the water...glad I got this shot!
Gizzy looking all clean and fluffy - he just loves these long leisurely walks around "his" lake!
OK, one more...
(Not bad for 13, don't you think?)
I love this mirror image when the clouds and the tree reflect in the water!
Picture perfect!
I was walking with my head up in the clouds!
Some were actually quite dark and threatening looking, but it never rained!
The last video is of the bees and the buzzing sound, but there was quite a bit of static/rustling sounds due to the wind. It was pretty windy, but you may still be able to hear some of the buzzing as the birds sing and the bees dart in and out of the branches.
Hope you enjoyed these images - also, the winner of my January Giveway is:
Rudy's raiser of Rudy - the dog with a blog!
CONGRATULATIONS! Enjoy your pretty nails!
(I will e-mail you now!)

Oh Doris, thank you for taking me on your walk today. I can't wait for spring! I have to tell you though, my favorite photo was of you and Gizzy. What a gorgeous smile you have. Have a splendiferous day.
Congrats to Rudy!
So many pictures - I really like the turtle :-)
You're so lucky to have so many flowers springing up! Gizzy looks so happy being cuddled by you :)
Nice pictures! I especially enjoyed all the flowers. Gizzy looks so soft and clean. (And you too! hee-hee)
So refreshing to see all these beautiful signs of Spring. We have a damp, wet, cold, dreary day here with snow or sleet or plain slush on the way. I so love those magnolias.
I love everything that you shared. But more than anything else...I loved hearing your voice. It is always a great thing to know what a friend on a blog sounds like. Thanks for sharing the gorgeous flowers, sweet precious Gizzy and the lovely you. The Olde Bagg, Linda
Wonderful pictures!
I'm never good at winning things... can't believe I was picked, thanks for doing the giveaway!
Rudy's Raiser
such beautifull flowers ! here we still have to wait for them a couple of weeks ! i'm looking forward to it !è
Beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing!! And congrats to Rudy.
Pretty walk! I love everything in bloom -- the tulip trees are so pretty. Things are beginning to bud, and the crocus and snowdrops are out, but it's still wet and cold...when I have some $ I am going to commission a cloche hat from you - so darling - as is the cat collar. Blessings to you and to Gizzy...
Thanks for taking me along with you on your walk, I really felt like we were arm in arm! I LOVE the reflection of the tall thin tree. But mostly I loved seeing you and hearing your voice!!! You are a beautiful sight, so pretty and full of joy. A vision in pink with the cool sunglasses! I did hear the birds chirp! And not only chirp, I heard several singing, a beautiful sound!
Doris, your photography is gorgeous, and the videos ... just amazing. I felt like I was there. Such beauty where you live. It was so nice to hear your voice, and such beautiful pictures of you and the Giz!
oh my gosh look at all those daffodils. I can't wait to see them again. Your pictures are all so pretty and they make me want spring to come even more.
Finally back at the computer-what beautiful signs of spring! those magnolias are gorgeous-we usually have a frost right when the buds are forming and then our tree looks awful. The daffs and narcissus are making me want to be there instead of here!
Doris you are just having such a great time with Gizzy outdoors. Flowers, the ducks, the lake, and the turtle. He is lucky to have you.
Had a nice time on your walk and I didn't even work up a sweat.
You are pretty!
Love,
sandie
I totally enjoyed my spring walk, and the videos too! You must have a hive not too far from you with all of the bees around. Hope you have another beautiful weekend!
Dear Doris and Gizzy,
Congratulations to your winner.
Thank you for taking me a long for the beautiful walk.
The tree with the beautiful pink blooms is called a Tulip Tree. We have one and it blooms in spring and fall and the last 5 years it predicted the weather for both seasons...2 days after it begins to bloom we either get an extremely hard freeze or a big snow.
You can dry them and they look pretty in (pouporri)...I'm sure I spelled that wrong...lol
You are a pretty woman, a great photographer, and have a sweet spirit.
Have A Sugar Sweet Day
Hugs
