It's snowing in Southern Georgia!

Apparently it's been 12 years or longer since it snowed here. We're just 30 miles from the Florida border, so having snow is very unusual. Tonight my entire neighborhood's in an uproar. People calling each other and yelling and yippeeing as if they won the lottery.

I took some photos, but since it was dark (and my camera isn't the greatest) the pictures look accordingly. It's supposed to be 20 degrees tonight and if it keeps raining/snowing, maybe we'll have a nice, white blanket of snow to wake up to and then I can go out and take better photos.

Here's my boy on top of my car checking out the snow...it came down more like clumps of ice rather than snowflakes, but still, it's very unusual to have this happen here. I don't think Gizzy ever saw snow, at least not with me. I got him when he was 3 years old, but I doubt the previous owner took him up to the mountains.

One of my neighbors petting Gizzy on top of my car

looking out the back door it appears as if the grass is starting to get covered with a white blanket
I know it's not much, but it just started, so maybe by tomorrow there will be more to see.

my neighbor's car.

This might be it, but perhaps tomorrow morning I'll wake up to a big surprise and see a bunch more.

Over and out from the snowy deep South ;-)

It's snowing a little further north too :) and LOTS! Probably 4" on the ground already. I'll show you pics tomorrow on my blog. I've missed you Doris. Glad I'm back and glad you're back ♥

It is so much fun, I went to a crochet meet-up only to find no other crocheters there but I think I just wanted to drive in the snow since it is such as a rarity down here. It is truly beautiful!

Texas got snow and that is unusally as well. This is my first winter living in Texas and it is the coldest since 1954! Keep warm Doris and gizzy!

So glad to see you back. The doll dresses are lovely. My aunt once crocheted a bed doll for me with a blue dress and hat, but I have no idea where it has gone. Stay warm, and if you want more snow I'll be glad to ship some down south (we have almost 3 ft and it's still coming down).

We got a foot of snow, then a break for a couple of days, and then another foot! It was fun, but made it hard to take walks with my dog since the sidewalks weren't treated very well, and things got so icy. It was also really hard to do any running outside, which is the only thing I found frustrating about the snow. People were freaking out, trying to go to the store and everything else when all PA wanted was for people to just take a damn break and stay off the roads so they could get them cleaned up! But nooooo! I don't know why people couldn't just stay home and relax with some cocoa and enjoy it- or go walk outside and play in it :)
