Crocheting in Georgia

In memory of Gizzy, my little boy with the fly-away ears. He was my inspiration, my muse and my best friend on four legs.

Gizzy in Heaven!

I love you forever and ever, Amen!

Until there's none - adopt one!

‎"I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter, the cast offs of human society. I saw in their eyes love, hope, fear, dread, sadness and betrayal. I was angry. "God", I said, "Why don't you do something?" And God replied "I did. I created you."

About Me

View my complete profile

I am a German born and raised American citizen who loves animals and nature. I like to crochet and knit, bake, draw, sing and walk. I crochet and knit mostly to donate or give as gifts. I SUPPORT HONEY BEE RESEARCH and try to live my life by the motto of doing onto others what you would want done unto yourself. I also love Christmas and fresh produce straight from the source; I enjoy reading, music, movies, Mexican cuisine, coffee and pickles (not necessarily together.)

My life in Georgia

Welcome to my world in the Deep South!

If I were a dog, I'd be a Bulldog!

discover your dog breed @ quiz meme CHARACTER: Despite extremes in physical bearing, the Bulldog maintains a surprising degree of subtlety and subdued fierceness. Endowed with both charm and modesty, Britain's national pride is an icon of determination, boldness, and loyalty. He is affectionate, loving people young and old; and he is intelligent and trainable. Volumes could be written about the charming Bulldog of old and new.

My Gizzyfur, the Peke

aka Lion dog, Foo Dog or Pelchie dog

About the Pekingese dog:

The Peke, despite his petiteness, is courageous and bold. His independence and confidence should imply combativeness rather than delicacy. The dog is accustomed to being unchallenged and foremost in his master's eyes. His coat requires extensive grooming. (from the Mini-Atlas of Dog Breeds by A. De Prisco and J.B. Johnson) --- and that's my boy to the T!

Food for Thought:

“If bees were to disappear from the surface of the earth, mankind would have but four years to live... no bees, no plants, no animals, no man" - Albert Einstein
